“Emma helped me identify the perfect style for me and then gave me the tools to choose clothes and accessories that epitomise who I am and accentuate my assets whilst concealing my not-so-favourite parts.” —Cassandra
CASSANDRA’S STORY
“I felt completely lost when it came to my style – which was a huge problem! My body shape had changed since having children, along with my lifestyle and the way I needed to dress.”
Emma: What is your current role?
Cassandra: I’m a Stay at Home Mum and Playgroup Leader. I love being a nurturer and homemaker to my little family (my darling husband, 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son). I am living my dream of baking, gardening, sewing, scrapbooking and crafting, all of which make my home a happy place. 2 mornings per week I lead a playgroup, where I get to be a pseudo play school presenter to a room full of little people who love my singing and storytelling!
Emma: What motivated you to book in with Statement Styling?
Cassandra: I felt a little lost about where my style was headed. After working full time for 12 years and dressing corporate, my clothing didn’t suit my lifestyle or body anymore. I had lost my sense of self; I had always loved getting dressed up (I am an early riser and love getting dressed, hair, makeup, accessories in the early morning to be ready to start my day) but I felt my old style was too ‘dressy’ for my new lifestyle. I was not enjoying the stay at home clothes I was wearing because they felt too plain and casual.
Emma: What problem did we solve?
Cassandra: I felt completely lost when it came to my style – which was a huge problem! My body shape had changed since having children, along with my lifestyle and the way I needed to dress. Emma helped me identify the perfect style for me and then gave me the tools to choose clothes and accessories that epitomise who I am and accentuate my assets whilst concealing my not-so-favourite parts.
Emma: How do you feel now?
Cassandra: I feel empowered! I have a clear vision of what my statement style is and I am learning how to actually put those looks together. I am also feeling at peace because I know in my heart what my life purpose is and now each and every day I can easily get up and dress myself for success!
Emma: How has your session affected your life?
Cassandra: It has been amazing. Emma is such a wealth of knowledge and really tuned into me as an individual, and my specific needs. I feel like I can call her a friend after only knowing her such a short time. I know that I am only at the start of my journey with Emma, and I am so excited to see where this leads me! I have more confidence to choose clothes that suit me, and put outfits together at the shops. Proudly wear the clothes that make my heart happy – even if it isn’t what everyone else is doing – if it feels right for me, I should just do it!
Emma: What’s next for you?
Cassandra: I am currently focusing on completing my winter wardrobe, which I made a great start on during a recent personal shopping trip with Emma. I will then move onto creating the same for the summer months… but in the future I would really love to spend time adding embellishments and pretty finishes to plain clothing pieces, to make them more unique and more ‘my style’. I am also hoping to get back to sewing some of my own clothes in the future too.
Emma: What would you say to someone contemplating booking with Statement Styling?
Cassandra: Do it! It will change your life in more ways than you could ever image! What are you waiting for?
TRACY’S STORY
“I used to wear clothes that I liked the look of but I was completely blind to how they looked on me. I had no idea of all of the intricacies of how to look good.”
Emma: What is your current role?
Tracy: I’m a Nurse Unit Manager, overseeing a large Emergency Department with over 250 staff.
Emma: What motivated you to book in with Statement Styling?
Tracy: I had recently had a baby and was preparing to go back to work in a new role, so after seeing Emma presenting at a workshop, I realised I was in need of a remodelling.
Emma: What problem did we solve?
Tracy: I used to wear clothes that I liked the look of but I was completely blind to how they looked on me. I had no idea of all of the intricacies of how to look good. The changes are so easy to make when you know what to look for but I honestly didn’t realise how little I knew before. I also had a lack of awareness of how my personal presentation affected my productivity. I now know what to wear to help tap into my different personal strengths (to be creative or to be authoritative or to be empathetic). I feel the difference every day.
Emma: How do you feel now?
Tracy: I feel confident in wearing anything from my wardrobe and knowing I am maximising my natural features and drawing attention away from my less great areas. I can confidently walk away from purchasing many clothes I would have bought in the past because I now understand what works and can easily see the 95% of clothes in shops that were not made for me.
Emma: How has your session affected your life?
Tracy: I just feel more confident in everything I do. Clothing is no longer a barrier or an issue for anything. I don’t awkwardly twist my skirts because now I choose styles that sit well. I now wear colours that make me look younger and don’t wash me out or make me look bigger than I am. I no longer worry about going out and looking smutty – I have had the eternal struggle of looking frumpy or having excessive cleavage on show. Now I wear the right clothes and understand how the clothes and accessories draw the attention to different areas. Clothes now feel to me as comfortable as my own skin! I am freed up to use my attention for important things.
Emma: What’s next for you?
Tracy: A great challenge – I am aiming to be a mindful Mum and a great manager. I am also booking my husband in for a session!
Emma: What would you say to someone contemplating booking with Statement Styling?
Tracy: Don’t delay! My only regret in life is not having done this earlier in my life. The session with Emma will unleash you in ways you cannot predict.

“I now feel like me. I have my own style which Emma uncovered with ease – she did not try to make me fit into a certain box but asked so many questions about what I liked that she nailed it to perfection!” —Alannah
ALANNAH’S STORY
“Having been a stay at home mum for 5 years my wardrobe was limited to track suite pants, T-shirts and black shoes. I felt uncomfortable in my clothing and as my business grew, I knew I wanted to represent it in an enhanced way.”
Emma: What is your current role?
Alannah: Business Owner – I run Healthy Mud, a skin care business based on Dead Sea Salt and Mud. My role involves personal consults, facilitating group training, public speaking, running small classes, and FB lives.
Emma: What motivated you to book in with Statement Styling?
Alannah: Having been a stay at home mum for 5 years my wardrobe was limited to track suite pants, T-shirts and black shoes. I felt uncomfortable in my clothing and as my business grew, I knew I wanted to represent it in an enhanced way.
Emma: What problem did we solve?
Alannah: The constant “I’ve got nothing to wear”. I now have far less clothes than before my sessions with Statement Styling but I have many outfit choices. I know how to add a belt of hat or scarf to change an outfit or add different shoes and a coat and be transformed from day to night.
Emma: How do you feel now?
Alannah: When I step out these days, I almost always get a positive comment. I dress with very little anxiety, fuss or time as I know exactly what looks good and what to wear on what occasions. I feel confident, absolutely stunning and I know what I’m wearing is highlighting my best attributes which boosts me when I need to be “on” whether that be in front of the camera or a crowd. I shop with amazing confidence and don’t invite anything into my wardrobe unless it is completely flattering. This can be done at Kmart or at a boutique and the feeling of freedom it gives you to simply say no when an outfit does not meet the brief.
Emma: How has your session affected your life?
Alannah: It was life changing. Clothing is not something I even think about now, whereas before, I never knew what to wear and knew it was not quite right. I now feel like me. I have my own style which Emma uncovered with ease – she did not try to make me fit into a certain box but asked so many questions about what I liked that she nailed it to perfection!
Emma: What’s next for you?
Alannah: As far as business goes I now feel like a missing piece to the puzzle has been found. I look and feel great which with gives me the confidence to speak out. I simply cannot wait to continue on with what I am doing and know that my look now reflects me!
Emma: What would you say to someone contemplating booking with Statement Styling?
Alannah: Ha! You could have just recorded me yesterday at the shops yesterday as the assistant was asking me “how do you know all this about your clothing”. A session with Emma is life changing. You will no longer wander around the shops trying all different things on hoping one will just be right for you. You will have the tools to build a wardrobe that enhances your skin colour, makes your eyes pop, or simply embraces your curves and gives your body a balanced look. Emma knows how to work with your attributes to bring out the best. Even for those with no fashion knowledge or flair like me, it is life changing! Emma saves you money – my pieces are classic and interchangeable and I have spent less money on clothing in the 12 months since seeing Emma as I only invite items into my wardrobe that are my “perfect”. And I also have the tips and tricks to dress something up or dress so now all my wardrobe is multipurpose. The I would say, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!!!
